ABET Facilitator Training

To ensure the successful implementation and completion of an ABET Programme in your organisation, we strongly advise that, should your choice be to do in-house training, your facilitator be trained by LTF in Suggestopedic Accelerated Learning Techniques (SALT). LTF can train suitable candidates (A profile is available from LTF) from your organization/company as ABET Facilitators and can provide the necessary training manuals and learner workbooks

The training requires pre-reading, attendance of a eight-day initial course, a self-study and rehearsal period of three to four weeks with a further two days of practical and written assessments (proof of rehearsals required) Once this course is successfully completed the LTF Trained ABET Facilitator is ready to present the following ABET courses, using LTF materials:

Mother Tongue Literacy
Mother Tongue literacy is available in any one of the nine languages: Afrikaans, South Sotho, North Sotho, Tswana, Xhosa, Zulu, Venda, Tsonga and Siswati.

English Communication Level 2
This level can be accomplished in +/- 80 hours.

Numeracy Level 1

Maths Level 4
This level is completed in 160 hours.

Lead the Field ABET FACILITATOR Training Guide

During this training course the ABET Facilitator candidate will be empowered to train candidates to successfully complete ABET levels 1-3, and eventually to pass their ABET level 4 (NQF1).

The main subjects will be English Literacy and Mathematical Literacy, and to be certified by Lead the Field, the ABET Facilitator candidate needs to:

this consists of 4 days of an 8 day training programme.

This section of the 8 day training is also known as Concepts for Capacity Building and Successful Achievement.

This 4 day programme is essentially directed at the awakening of awareness: an awareness of the almost inexhaustible multitude of CONCEPTS (knowledge, wisdom) regarding fuller life.  This awareness inevitably leads to a re-appreciation of one’s own life, simultaneously enhancing your own self–esteem, becoming increasingly conscious of your own worth, your unlimited potential, the real possibility of changing your life.  You are exposed not only to ancient universal laws of life and the universally accepted laws of success, but also to the most recent findings regarding the power of the mind which enables you to alter your course of life.  This course empowers you to make a difference in your own life and the lives of others.

The objective of the Facilitator attending this course is to equip the attendee with the required personal; self-esteem and information to be passed on to ABET learners.
